Final class (Tuesday June 3rd)
——————————————————————
Today we had our final class and last critique in Art 10A - Design 1.
Summer is coming! It’s exciting to be moving on, and I look forward to applying what I learned in this class to my artwork in the future, but I felt sad parting with the class. The 15 weeks of class has come and gone so fast, but during that time the class had become like a big family.
For the past two weeks I’ve been working on the final project: the “Color Temperature Assignment.” For this assignment each student had to create a design using 3-5 triangles or amorphous shapes, then paint the design on a 15″x20″ art board, using warm intense colors to make the triangles or amorphous shapes come forward in space, and cool dull colors to make the background recede.
I decided to go with 5 amorphous shapes for my design.

During the final critique we had a potluck! It was very enjoyable, and a great way to have the final class.
There was a lot of fantastic work up on the wall today. Here are some pictures of the critique:
After the critique/potluck everyone said their goodbyes, and slowly the classroom began to empty.
And so it all came to a close… Art 10A end.

Spring break is over, and classes are back in session.

Our latest design project has been really cool!
